Is it just me or are there others who are getting fed up with EF shipping policy of place your order and then we will shock you with the shipping costs? All of the other premier companies out there give you a shipping calculator to figure shipping costs before you purchase the plane, what a unique idea.
Sure, but people are talking as if the product cost is the same and EF charges three time the amount to ship. The EF Extra EXP with the 70" wing span and 70" fuse was $454 to my door, the 3DHS Edge 540 with the 74" wingspan and the 69" fuse was $485 to my door, and the EF Extra 300 with the 78" wingspan and the 76" inch fuse was $557 to my door. These prices, delivered, all makes perfect sense to me, so I don't get it. This whole topic about EF shipping is ridiculous because there is no difference in relative cost once the product cost, shipping cost, and value of the product, are considered.
That's the whole point....the 78" Extra, 76/83" MXS, and 74" Laser are not in that generic size class. That's why people put 50cc engines on them. I doubt anyone even considers doing that with other 30-40cc planes. That's because of their size difference. Did you see the pic of Matt's Laser next to the 50cc Slick? Almost the same size fuse. These are more 35-50cc planes.I think if you take a step back, and consider all these 7x" planes are in the same generic "size class" of 30-40cc planes, the opinions of the others would make more sense... As all the planes in this "class" should cost roughly the same to ship.

Like aeroplayin said the 70" EXP is more in line with other manufacturers as far as both size and cost go. That plane is in the 30 - 40cc class
