VVRC is where I would get the 70 for sure. EME 70 from Mile High but the RCGF is a bit more powerful and light like the DA.
Put up some pics of your build here if you want. Really please do. Might get Rob from cracking the whip on me! My toy Yorkie already does that enough :face-palm:. Hey Rob we all know how long the first one took don't we??? :spongebob:

Ok i think your choice of motors is good /reference RCGF 70 twin. Make sure if you purchased one get it from ValleyView Rc. Tom gives great support and he works directly with RCGF . Even if he shows out of stock he gets the motors about every 2 weeks back in inventory. I wanted the 70 twin for the LaserX but the cowl is not wide enough for it . It is even going to be real close even with the angled plugs on the 60twin. My Redwing Edge 30cc cowl is actually 2 " wider inside than the Laserx cow.. Actually the laserX isnt much bigger than the current crop of 30 /35 cc birds. Except for wing span of course is bigger on the 60cc LaserX.

Well I pulled the DL50 out of the box I had it in and got to ooh and awing and turning it over and listening to that solid suck/pop at the exhaust port and feeling really good compression......I think this engine going to do fine. My flying has tamed down and I can always mount the 70 twin later on. I once had a Yak 54 (Korean made ARF) with a DLE55 on a pro flo and it weighed 20.5 pounds and it logged out of a hover controllable. With a 23x8 prop I think this 50 will be just as strong as the 55 was.

Did get the fuel door in and switch for the Powersafe Rx. Getting ready to mount the 50!

So I'm sitting down and contemplating the universe and it finally sunk in that my sub conscience is NOT going to let me be satisfied with this plane. Really trying to be a good sport but after the experience with the canopy on the V1 I had I figured a negative karma thing was going on here so I asked for a refund. Now I did state that I would accept this plane if they sent me a better quality cowl ie... One that fits better, has no dents in it and paint job much better. Or they send me the correct plane I ordered in the first place. So we will see :ooh?:.

I have been carrying a conversation with a guy who purchased the Thunder Bird scheme plane and he sent me pics of it and I have to say it looked marvelous! Lets hope they make right their mistake and not make it mine. These planes are built quite nicely and are a great value and do fly well. Just tired of getting "Charlie Browned". "I got a ROCK".

I can put up with a lot from an airplane distributor, as shown by my Hangar 9 Extra, but the wrong color scheme would be too much I'm afraid. But then again I'm getting really cranky in my old age.

Now that a new cowl is on its way I can focus on the LG again for the QQ300. No CFLG yet :(.
Guess I need to go FLY some. I think I got something flyable o_O.

Hey @49dimes, what CF landing gear are you going to use and where did you find it? I agree the wire gear on the QQ Extra is kind of flimsy.
