Last night I received the last piece of the puzzle for a new racing quad. It is a Flightclub Tokio SX. I spent 3 hours doing all the wiring, soldering, installing, and programming. She is ready to go!

As most of you know that I am still on the look out to buy a radio. I have a question for the Futaba gentleman. With spectrum radios when we run a number of high powered servos in our planes with two battery’s we use the fail safe receiver with to power leads into the receiver . How do you do this with a futaba equipment. Can there receivers carry the high power required to fly the big planes.

Wolverine switch, 2 LiFe batteries directly into my 14 channel receivers with MKS and Hitec servos in my planes.

I am using a wolverine switch with 2 life batteries and 2 power leads to a 14ch receiver powering HV Savox servos. I have not had one issue with servo power at all in my 104 ARS.

Thanks guys just wanted to know how it was done but that looks pretty robust supplying power through three standard JR plugs should be more than enough each is good for 5 A so gives you 15 capacity which is more than enough. The only thing is that you have to have sufficient spare slots to plug them in.

@Snoopy1 When I was flying Futaba the local rep told me the HS and HV receivers were good for 30 amps peak. The instructions that came with my Spektrum power safe 9140T says 40 amps continuous 50 amps peak. I never had voltage "drop out" problems with my Futaba gear but I ran power expanders with the R6014 Rx's because of lower signal voltage the 6014 would put out (2.6-3vdc). The power expander would boost this voltage to 5vdc. This helps greatly with long servo extensions. I don't have a clue as to Futaba's latest gear but I cant help but believe it is robust and worthy of any giant scale plane. I fly Spektrum now cuz I be POOR :cryin:. Blew my fortune on model planeso_O.

Thanks for the reply, I am on JR equipment for last 20 years and I am still flying my 10x and 12x. But need to get some things more modern. But just cannot make up my mind if I switch to Futaba it is going to cost because I will need 8 to 10 new receivers. That’s a lot of money plus a radio. The problem is all I want is a top quality 12 channel radio and the new XI 12 feels like I am buying half a phone and a radio and all I want is solid robust radio. I belive I am paying for a lot of extras that I do not need I could be wrong.
