The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Took the floats off my 120" TBM and found some popped factory glue joints at the strut bulkheads. Got these ones from Tim before he closed NWRC, first season flying them and only ever made it out 4-5 times. That's going to take some work this winter, I decided to hang them up for the season...

Scale Wendell Hostetler 30% Piper Cherokee Glass Fuselage Build.

I was way more primitive. Had a micro servo on a cam system to the receiver on a three position switch utilizing two micro switches. EG: POS 1 off, POS 2 strobes/nav/beacon ON, POS 3 Landing light wig wags in addition to POS 2. Was quite fun to create and make this system. I made two of them...

Back when I made a fading beacon it was running off a 12V lipo with a 555 timer, NPN transistor, 220 Capacitor, and Resistors to step down the voltage. Your approach would create a more stable voltage

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I think I have an idea what happened. ELRS reserves channel 5 for arming. I fought this until I had to connect the rx to wifi and reconfigure that channel to work like a normal servo channel. Sounds familiar to what you may have ran into. I know you're done but just thought it might end that...

I'm a circle master with a glider! Just saying there's nobody to take on my older stuff

It's not very intuitive that for sure. You're a stronger man than I am to just call it quits... Although I'm thinking you might be on to something.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I’ve spent hours trying to figure out how to make my throttle trigger on the MT12 work for my little airboat. It’s pulling my hair out. It’ll work from full rev off so the motor goes forward when released and when inverted it’s the other way. I cannot figure out how to recalibrate so the neutral...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I'll second Balsa Dust with a DLG being the hardest to program let alone on a new radio!! One thing that helped me was the radio has a built in airplane format when you create a new model. I'm running in circles with all the strange formatting as well. I got the MT12 surface radio with ELRS...

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Come over to Alaska and warm up! Don't worry snow/rain forecasted on sunday/mon. I'm for some odd reason thinking I'll go bring the boat out again before winterizing. Fall has been relentless storms one after another. Maybe I'll drag a line in the harbor to just say I did it and start my...

Fall has been in full swing here. Snow is up in the mountain peaks and slowly getting lower.

Nice, it's complicated but it is possible with a Futaba radio using similar logic in the "conditions" menu. Still convoluted!

Nice find on the website. One thing that's cool with the pocket radio is that it has momentary switches that you can use for a launch mode. Since I'm right handed I keep that logic/momentary switch along with my flaps on my left hand so I can focus on catching and relaunching the glider with my...
