What brand IBEC failed for you? I have yet to have a problem with the TechAero UIBEC. I'm still a big fan of the AR Multiswitch with a magnetic switch. I've never used the zepus or park switch though.

All day long with one pass using a 40W module 85% power @16mm/s. This one can fit a 20”x24” sheet inside it… but usable is about 10x19. I’ve cut basswood ply and birch ply 3mm. Theres videos of guys cutting a 2x4 with it…… Last few years diode lasers have become very powerful. Now it’s all about...

Been a while! Life is sure busy with a 1.5 & 4.5 year old kids! Lots happening. Building a power tool bench to get the “hurt you fast if daddy forgets to unplug it stuff” I just finished a third coat of Shellac. Then some gray paint, followed by wheels. My 104NG is getting there. Need to...

Scale 112” - Taylorcraft by HeyLuc & Snoopy.

Boy do I love visual progress like this! You'd save another 4lbs if you didn't use the cannisters. That would be easy to omit last minute though. I've always enjoyed seeing your wood working skills, whenever I imagine a beautiful wood joint - it looks like your work in my head . . . not how I...

Jeepers! I think my 110" Timber was about 20#, The only thing that looked a bit beefy was maybe the ply thickness, extra wing ribs, and maybe the lightening holes could be a tad bigger. . . just thoughts. 40#'s seems pretty high, but I'm sure the T cart will handle higher wing loading. I'd...

    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

Woah guys! Good work! You're giving me inspiration to fix mine. I've been quite busy with life lately. . . Currently trying to organize my shop. . . my kiddos like to play in the garage so I got a couple more tool boxes to put all the danger items tucked away, glider wing racks up high as well...

Can you explain the use of non-hardening clay verses just using a plaster/epoxy/or hardening molding clay instead? Just about every time I read your posts I continue to learn something new. I love your builds!

I'm going to start digging into your methods for designing a plane. Been thinking of making some small plank gliders to start. I ordered up a 40w laser to help cultivate the passion for creating. Thanks again for sharing!

I always wondered why all the ARF manufactures do not use strategic kevlar on wheel pant layups. Good on you for thinking the way you do!
