Idea! Cheap 'mega power' power supplies.

Here's a screen shot of my iCharger 4010 duo screen running off the converted ESP120 PSU. This is charging a total of twelve 6s batteries of capacity ranging from 2700mAh to 5000mAh, a total of 45000mAh of battery capacity. The charger is putting out 40 Amps per channel, 80A / 2000W total...

Idea! Cheap 'mega power' power supplies.

Sorry this has taken an age to get around to. Truth is my old PSU was doing a good enough job until recently when I started flying large helis which meant large batteries. I was powering my 4010duo off my home made dual HP DPS-600PB 24v / 48Amp converted computer server power supply. For most...

    RealFlight 6 Models

Just tried it briefly, real nice modelling. It maybe seems a bit lacking in 'punch' compared to mine. Mine is the DFC version out of the box so I'm not sure if they put a stronger motor in compared to the EFL?

A favour from a DX18 user in the US?

Gary, thanks big time! The file will go no further. I'll just use it to compare against my own EU region .sax file and see it's possible to identify where the differences are.

A favour from a DX18 user in the US?

European Spektrum (and most other) Tx's come 'hamstringed' to lower RF power output limits as per European RF exposure regulations. US transmitters have higher power. To be honest it's never proved to be a problem but it would be nice to have the ability to turn up the RF power to US region...

E-flite Beast 60e Aerobatic RC Plane, ARF

Crazy, That kind of chimes with my own experience of using a 3 axis giro (not the AS3X) on a 3D model. It didn't help much with wing rock and in fact might actually make things worse in certain circumstances. I ended up snapping out of a harrier and crashing when using a giro. I also found...

    60" Laser-EXP

I guess they put the page up early so people can select the 'notify me' thing.

    60" Laser-EXP

It says sold out.. Have they actually all sold already or have they just put the page up prior to getting stock in?

Question? Anyone try nanotech aspec batteries

I've got a couple of the 65c A-spec. They perform quite well but no better than the same size Gens-Ace rated at 30c. In fact the Gens-Ace is about 25% lower I.R. so will hold voltage a little better. As they are more expensive than the Gens-Ace and the same weight but have higher I.R. I cant...

    Motrolfly 2820/2814 or Torque 2814-820

Running the Motrolfly DM-3615 (lightened version) in mine, with a Xoar 14x7.. Awesome power! I've used 2200 and 2600 batteries and with the 2600 (300g) the CG is a bit on the nose heavy side of neutral with the bigger motor up front. The 3615 is actually only 15g or so heavier than the 2820...

The DX8 will do that too but you need 3rd party software to read the files.

Discussion My Favorite Charger. Pros & Cons

The DIY conversion is straightforward if you have a decent soldering iron. The HP DPS-600Pb is the PSU used by the likes of SolidHobby. While the SolidHobby PSU is good value you can do it yourself for about a quarter of the price. However you do want to do it properly which involves isolating...
