I have one other dealership that I am going to give a call to today. I have someone that's an insider there (long story) that I just discovered and am hoping they can get me what I am looking for. The 2 dealers I've been to sofar haven't really wanted to work with me, the whole time I was under the assumption that they wanted to sell the bike to me :confused:

Trying to get on it by this weekend, a bunch of buddies want to go riding and what a perfect way to break in a new bike by taking it on a 200 mile trip ;)

So I called this 3rd dealership today and filled them in on everything, so now I'm waiting for someone to come back with the best deal, although these guys wanted to put me on a different bike I had no interest in :bull:

The 2nd dealer I went to says they want to look at my current bike as a trade in... Not sure I want to go that route but if it'll cover my down payment on the FJ-09 then I think I might go for it so long as they meet the rest of my terms.

That FJ-09 sure is an interesting looking bike. It almost looks like it should have on road/ off road tires on it. What is its "Stated Purpose"?

Supersport Touring. Basically an adventure bike for the road. 5" of suspension travel isn't going to workout so well offroad.

Went into the dealer today for the last time, brought my KLR along to see what they thought. After an insultingly low offer of $100 and claims of only bringing $200 at auction (I would seriously love to find a KLR for that low because I'd buy one a month at that rate!), not to mention being lied to the entire process I decided to walk out. Not playing their game. I'll go to another dealer in a couple of months when I'm ready to buy.

Well, Final Exams are over and spring has sprung. Time to get my 60'' laser dusted off and packs charged and hit the field this weekend.

Well destroyed my 88" edge in a car accident. worst part was it was my fault. However thanks to some awesome friends I know have a 35% eg mx2 to play with. Hoping to pick up a redwing 50cc bird before monsterfest so I can have 2 monsters down there.

Glad to hear you walked out on them...seriously...most dealers take customers for idiots.
