I was so glad to see this video and have Jase bring to life what this plane is capable of. I so enjoy his flying .

Yep, I just noticed those too ! I got distracted and have not done much on mine, you are way ahead. The VVRC 40 looks perfect in there ! I have a DA-35, and am just glad the lower intake does not have to be cut all the way out. The stock 35 standoffs look like they will be perfect, but I still have to trim the cowl to be sure. I was frustrated for a minute that neither EF or DA has a template for the 35, but eventually got off my lazy ass and made my own.

On mine I just took the template for the DLE-35, and used the bottom two holes. They were the same width as the DA-35, then flipped the template and marked the same two holes for the top. On the dle-35 the bottom two are the same spacing as for a da-35, but the top two are 5mm narrower. So just flip the template, and you can use it to mark all 4. Worked perfect on my MXS.

Just got my ARF, and going to run a DA50. I cant wait to start, but still collecting parts. I will say the only thing I wish was different was the cowl. I wish it had a cowl ring like the other planes I own.

Great idea for a twin.

What are you going to do with that new DA50 you are going to win in a few days? :smile-new:

Just maiden'd mine this morning. Flies awesome with the VVRC40. I've attached some cowl cooling/baffling pictures for those going down the same path. I've included a picture of electronics layout and CG worked out great. Also included a shot in the bottom intake where the carb sits. I soldered up an extension for the diaphragm breather and routed it up to the fuel tank area for consistent engine performance. The cooling louvers are from RedwingRC and is their "large" size which is nearly 4x5" and painted it up to match. Engine was flawless in performance on all four flights. ;) Equipment is 5x Futaba BLS172SB servos on flight controls, 1 Hitech 7955? for throttle, R7008 high voltage receiver, TechAero ultra IBEC (voltage reg and optical kill), Fromeco Wolverine switch with 2x Deans in and 3x JR out and 2x 2600mah LiOn batteries, Secraft stuff, MWB stuff, Falcon carbon spinner and 20x9 carbon prop, more stuff... lol
