A favour from a DX18 user in the US?

European Spektrum (and most other) Tx's come 'hamstringed' to lower RF power output limits as per European RF exposure regulations. US transmitters have higher power. To be honest it's never proved to be a problem but it would be nice to have the ability to turn up the RF power to US region setting. I'm pretty sure that the difference is only in the firmware. Spektrum make firmware specific to each Tx which makes flashing a Euro Tx with US firmware difficult, but maybe it's not quite impossible?

Would a US region DX18 owner be willing to send me the latest v104d .sax firmware file for their DX18 so i can have a look inside the file and see if I can see where the differences are?

PS.....I know that the files are encrypted which probably makes what i want to do near impossible but i'd like to try anyway.

thanks big time! The file will go no further. I'll just use it to compare against my own EU region .sax file and see it's possible to identify where the differences are.
