Motor won't arm after update to Jeti Mezon 90

So I updated the or tried to update the firmware on a Jeti Mezon 90 to ver 1.27 and it errored out on me. See pic below.
This is what it gave me.
mezon90updateerror.JPG

Everything works except for the throttle. When I connect the power I get no arming sounds and no throttle.
Now when I plug in the Jeti Box it keeps going to a screen asking..

Impuls Generator yes or no
If I pick yes it shows 1500 ms and about 50V. I am able to make adjustments there if I want.
If I pick no it says servo cycle yes or no and the next screen say's servo speed tst yes or no.

Instead of going to the normal screen where I can program the esc. Heres the kicker, in the manual under troubleshooting it say's...

Problem: There is no “armed†signal tone audible when the battery is connected to the
controller. The motor is connected correctly to the controller. The controller input is also
correctly connected to the receiver, the receiver is switched-on and servos work normally.
Solution: Check the throttle control pulse, which should have a voltage level of at least
2,5V and a width of 0,9-1,4 ms. These values can be measured by connecting a JETIBOX to
the controller and viewed in the menu: “Actual value -> InpPulseâ€.

But I can't get to the Actual value because as I said above it goes to the other screen. I don't know what the hell else to do at this point.
Really sux to man I have one flight on this thing...The maiden flight. The reason for updating is I noticed slow response on power and the
update is supposed to fix this issue. In fact heres the note that comes in the zipped file with the new firmware...

DEVUP_2013Mezon_1.27.exe
- Improved regulation algorithms over the speed ranges and various types of motors.
- Faster response while starting the motor from zero RPM.

Which is exactly what was going on. Man I hope someone here has an idea or solution.

Yes call Esprit, they know their stuff like the back of their hands and can figure this out. Bushwacker

Well it's what I thought. Something went wrong during the update. A bit got flipped the wrong way and the result is what I have now. It's stuck in a state that won't allow it to go beyond it's current state. I was talking with this guy Many at espritmodel as we were working through the problem and he agrees. Problem is sometimes when you update firmware and you go to far ahead without having at least a few of the other previous updates it will cause havoc. There were no other previous updates to grab so I couldn't update throughout the history of the updates resulting in what I have now. Doesn't always happen I just happen to be one of the unlucky ones. So I have to send it back to espritmodel, they will send me another one, they will send the bad one back to the manufacture and probably have it re-flashed. Your probably wondering how the hell would I know that and it's because I have degree in computer science and was a tech/network engineer for 20+ years. Once I exhausted all other possibilities from credible sources that know the hardware we came to the same conclusion. Not blowing my own horn here guys, just explaining how we were able to solve the problem. I asked him to find out if we were correct or not and if not to let me know what happen so we can atleast learn from it. So in the end it's going to take a bit of time to get one back and I'll be back in the air.

Let this be a warning to those who update their firmware. I should of done more research on the history of updates done to the esc before just grabbing what they had and blasting away with it. I really should've known better, shame on me. I would of never done this with a piece of pc tech. Still it's a risk anytime you do a firmware update, but one should atleast minimize the risk.

Bushwacker, I'm glad you found out the problem and are getting it corrected. Esprit will take care of you, especially with anything that involves Jeti, they took on the US Distributorship, they know they have to support it.

Sadly I have a pile of bricked laptops, phones, and other electronic gizmos thanks to firmware updates. 'tis a bummer that this hobby is affected too. BUT -- the customer service from manufacturers and retailers in the hobby is almost always top notch and you'll rarely get the "sucks to be you" treatment.

Yeah you both are right. Many @ esprit was really cool about it and seemed to know his sh*t. Plus he's a heli guy first like me.

LOL might have something there. I have been paying much more attention to the planes then I have the heli's.
