Defender of the Noob!
Here's another, Kevin Turner, more often referred to as Evan's Dad and @kevinjulieevan here at GSN

He's got an interesting airplane, it's an 89" Slick 540 from 3DHS with a Jeti 200A ESC and a Motrolfly brushless motor (50cc equivalent, not sure exact model #) in it from SubsonicPlanes.com in Ohio. They hand wind their motors and will rewind motors if you need slightly different performance than what you've got. He's using Pulse 12S, 6000mah batteries and getting anywhere from 5 to 10 minute flights depending on style.

Daniel Dominguez of Panama City, Panama and Hans Kuhlert of West Palm Beach, FL representing PrecisionAerobatics.com. PA is now in Cherry Hill, NC and it's been announced they're getting back into gas! They're planning to release a 30cc airframe in time for Joe Nall 2017 with larger sizes to follow. This ought to be exciting as Precision Aerobatics started with larger gas powered models and they're well known for making very high quality airframes that fly great.

Michael Abraira of West Palm Beach, FL and Jo Jo Rodriguez of Ft Lauderdale, FL were flying Hangar 9's new 105" Extra 300X with a DA-120. There are only a few of these in the US but the design is final and the first batch are on the water heading for us in the US.

Funniest comment overheard at the 3D flight line, "Dude, it's like Joe Nall 2006 all over again!"

Santiago Perez (Team Aerobeez) was flying a Carden 40% Cap 232 that he bid on and won at Toledo this year. It's got a DA-150 and JR servos. I nearly bought it from him after playing disinterested for a few days. My wife would have killed me though if I brought it home so I had to exercise restraint and say no thank you! :cryin::cryin::cryin:

He flew it really well and had everyone's attention as he hucked it up and down the flight line.

Linda, of Hobby Hut (a hobby shop and local institution for RC modelers in northern NJ (myself included) since 1969) was there with her husband Mark and their Hangar 9 Beast. Their website is at http://lindashobbyhut.com/shop/ and if you're ever in the area you should really try to stop in and say hello, they're Joe Nall regulars and well loved members of the East Coast RC community!

This is Carl. He wrecked his ExtremeFlightRC Yak not long after arriving at Triple Tree and happened to have his new Pilot RC Yak 54 ready for pick up at Joe Nall at about the same time. So what would you do if you had about five days at Triple Tree, nothing to fly, and a box full of plane sitting there looking at you? Of course you'd work all week and have it ready to maiden before you left! I was just leaving (after helping him here and there on Thursday and Friday) on Saturday when Carl was finally ready to drag it out to the flight line for its first flight. I hope it went well, he's a good guy, nicknamed Mofo.

The flight line opens to fueled engines every morning at 7AM and if you're at Nall, you fly. So, every morning at, you guessed it, 7AM, there's someone ready to fly for what I called a "rooster flight". Nobody else calls it that so don't show up down there asking about rooster flights, nobody will know what you're talking about!

This was the guy on Friday morning, I got out there to get a picture and some video just to prove to myself I wasn't hearing gas engines along with the ringing in my head (sponsored by Budweiser) every morning. I tried to make it to rooster status Saturday morning but stayed up late helping Carl with his Yak and then didn't sleep during the few hours I had before my alarm because I was frickin' freezing! It was in the mid forties Friday night!!
