Sorry for the long delay, things around here have been absolutely nuts the last few weeks. And that is an understatement!!! lol

Anyway, last week I rebuilt my work bench to turn it into a suitable building table and tonight I finally started gluing balsa together. After a couple of hours of playing I have a vertical tail :)

Finally broke out the glue bottles, T pins and wax paper!

Next is the hard points for the control horn and tail brace mounts, then hinges.

Are those hard wood dowels you used to make the hard points for the tail brace wires in the vertical fin?

Hey, it actually looks like I did something today! After the Ohio State game I went to the shop and decided to join the fuse halves. Pulling the nose together was quite an interesting experience to say the least ;) but nothing some of my neat Harbor Freight camps couldn't take care of.

From the other night, I added the 1/8" lite ply wing saddle doubler to the fuse truss with Titebond II. Making sure not to make to lefts ;) the doubler goes on the INSIDE of the truss.

Beveled the tail post and pinned the sides to the plan, starting at the tail post I worked my way forward pinning the sides to the board and checking with a framing square. Getting to the nose is where it got fun, as forward of the wing saddle the sides turn back in a little and with the 1/8th doubler, getting it to bend was fun lol.

Hey, it looks a little like a fuselage!

I'm quite happy with how symmetrical and square it is.
