Scale Ambrosini SS-4

Larry B

Hey Doc,
I have sent my plans to Pat who owns Laser Cut USA down in Florida. Pat is going to cut a set of ribs for me, then I'll start building the wing. I want to have the wing center section all built up before completing the wing saddle on the plug. By doing it this way it will ensure that the wing will fit the wing saddle just right. Pat has sent me an E-mail letting me know that he has my plans so I'm assuming that he is working on it.

I have started on another project in the meantime, it's going to be a combination IMAC/scale contest model.

Not to worry Doc, I am very careful to take my meds as prescribed! I have been spending my spare time on this, the secret IMAC/scale project. I have always thought that the Edge 540 V3 that Martin Sonka flies is a beautiful airplane. After seeing it in person at the Indianapolis Red Bull air races last year I just had to build one. So now I am headed down that road and building the plug so I can make the molds for a glass fuse.
I am going to try and build a model that I can take to Top Gun and then go fly some IMAC stuff with it. I am sure it will turn out a bit on the heavy side for the really good upper level IMAC pilots but I am very content to stick around flying Basic for a while.

My wife, Brenda, was able to catch him and get his autograph in between races, and yes I took a ton of photos of his plane!
