When I was a youngster I got one of these for my birthday. The next day my buddies and I got it fired up and since there was no place to tether it we did what any other youths of the 70's would have done and let it go down the street on it's own. A few seconds into it's maiden voyage one of the neighbors came flying over the hill and ran right over it. The bastard didn't even stop to see what he hit.

Karma finally came around about 25 years later. The same guy bought a piece of rental property right behind my business. In a storm a big limb on one of my trees blew down on his roof damaging the roof and the gutter. I called my insurance agent and he told me unless the guy had notified me ahead of time that the tree was dangerous I was not responsible for anything. I got a great deal of satisfaction telling him it was an act of god and I wasn't paying for fixing anything. :)

I had a tether racer from Testors. I did not have a place either to run it on the tether so it got "Testored" (that's tested and destroyed) right in to a storm drain :cryin:. Ahh.... those wonderful sixties.
