I like 'em "BIG"!
Wow, You guys have been busy. I need to get my butt busy too. I think my daughters furnace woes are handled. Amazing what a good old fashioned cleaning will accomplish. Now on to "my" stuff. LOL.

Now that you have reckoned with your ways @AKNick, We'll all be expecting to see more of your posts from here on out. Now you have no 'scuses.

Shame on me for not posting in here regularly. Putting together my 540T EXP, installed a TDRC 20-40cc tailwheel... about 3/8” shorter than the original tailwheel, but looks a bunch cooler.

Just a friendly heads up. I tried one of those on my QQ Yak. I found the spring to be very soft which allowed the tiller bar to bend. If you look closely at the end of the tiller it is threaded to match threads in the aluminum carrier. Very fragile I've repaired mine twice with JB Weld and added 2 additional layers of carbon fiber cloth on the spring. It is sitting in my tool box as a spare. Good luck with yours perhaps you land more gently (most likely) than me?

Thanks for the heads up. I’m hoping there won’t be a ton of stress on the tiller arm. Thought about doing the Fuel tubing trick on it instead. The carbon is too stout, I agree. Not a whole lot of any give... we’ll see how it holds up!!

Your goals are much like mine. I can prop hang with canopy or belly out no problem but the rolling thing has been challenging and also getting real low has been challenging.

Just before end of the season I was much lower than ever though. I would guesstimate around 20-25', but not really sure and a few times much lower. I have been working hard on knife edge loops, doing everything inverted as well, turns, smooth crisp rolls, prop hangs, flat spins, etc. Balsadust has been admonishing me to get it down low, so maybe this year. :D
Looks like you are a little further up the learning curve than me I can hover pretty good if the plane is facing me and a good one mistaken high. Not so good when the bottom is facing me. Knife edge loops no problem left and right. By the way what plane are you flying to teach your self. Balsadust is a good guy he has often commented and has tried to help and has commented on planes to make learning easier.

Why does one work and the other not?
My flying buddy is just beside him self he is in the process of building a large Beaver plane if I remember correctly it 125 inch wing span but anyway he has just built 2 left wing panels. And He is pissed to say the least. It happens to the best of us. The other one for him also did not work. And there is nothing I can do to help him out, a little while from now hopefully we will have a good laugh about.
