It is becoming very difficult to buy a radio. I am a true JR believer but the company it self that developed the product is gone. Futaba is not with the times and Spectrum well I had better just not say, why is nobody looking at Jeti or commenting on the product.

Sticker price is high... I was looking at JETI for a while too. Based in the UK mainly so there is always that. No touch screen which is a huge selling point for me when it comes to a new radio. I personally like the 16/18SZ screen, and reliability. I feel like Spectrum has growing pains, but are leading the industry at this point. I will always own a Spectrum radio with my BNF Planes. But in love with Futaba quality and reluctant to spend $$$$ to switch entirely to another system like Speck or JETI. Although I have been wanting to try the trial TX program with JETI to see if I like how he TX feels with it being so boxy... man there are so many options, but it’s hard with the overhead cost to switch or in this case upgrade not knowing the future of hobbico/Futaba.

Thanks for keeping us up date for me that is important because I am still looking. Glad you are happy with the radio. Keep us informed how it programmes and how steep is the learning curve. Looks doesn’t matter it’s all about how well or how easy it is to use, feel of the sticks and it is well connected to the plane.

I will let you know I finished up most of the Edge tonight planning on finishing up programming the radio in the morning.

What radio did you have before you bought the Futaba if did mention it I have forgot.

I had been flying a Spektrum DX8 but previous to that, when I was flying quadcopters, I was flying a Graupner MZ24. I never cared for the Graupner programming and the information out there on programming the radio was poor to say the least.

I love the reliability on my Futaba gear, but like JR, seems like productivity has slowed down when it comes to keeping up with Spectrum. I do feel that Futaba makes a quality product, just don’t know what to think of their distributer (hobbico) during their financial hardships as well. I’d like to see a wise business decision come from Futaba or hobbico in the near future so us dedicated supporters don’t have to abandon ship on a good product. Just need some good news please!?!?
