What's great is you spoke out about your concerns and as far as I know every one who disagreed with you was polite. I learned what others experienced using OS engines. I have some electric stuff but I will always use glow or gasoline as my main power sources so hearing about them will always interest me.

Not a problem talking about XYZ in the process of civil discourse, I too might learn a thing or two. I think it best to try to keep things a bit on topic. Yes, forum discussion by their nature wonder off topic.

Corporate issues sounds to me on topic. So does how these manifest into customer issues sounds on topic. Getting into the details of why engine design X is poor might not be on topic. But true a lot of these product issues are driven by inept corrupt corporate management.

While for the most part I would say any business going down is a sad thing but this is just the cycle of things. "Back in the day" where would you go to find any widget? The Tower Hobby catalog-prized by everybody and now we throw them in the trash on our way back from the mailbox. If you have a new widget you wanted to sell, you used to have to go to someone like Hobbico and pray that they would sign you (and not copy it themselves). Nowdays our catalog is called Google or AliExpress and for the most part you are dealing direct with the manufacturer. I am not saying either is right or wrong but it is what we call progress. My advice is to invest in delivery companies. Now I need to find the Sears catalog to look for a new buggy whip.

LOL, so true! Especially about dumping Tower Talk (their flier catalog) in the bin.

Love the reference to the antiquated buggy whip.

The last 100 years has seen an unprecedented change in the "real world". Now we are in the midst of a quantum change in the perceived world of marketing.

And on the subject of investing advice, to paraphrase the line from the film The Graduate. "Cardboard, the future is cardboard"

Consider how it was long ago in history before "middle men" came into the picture where trade was direct with the manufacturer/producer.
