Well no airplane work tonight thankfully :D But I decided to put factory cruise control in my van :oblong: Had to make a bracket to mount the cruise control servo but otherwise the install went good :)

Put a repop factory cruise control equipped turn signal stalk up in the cab and everything works, just waiting for a clip to hook the cruise control cable up to the throttle body. No more having to hold the go peddle for 3 hours straight on the way to huckfests!!

When I want to place monocote over monocote for trim this is what I do. Works great! I first mark out the boundary of my trim piece (trim piece already cut out) using a fine point sharpy. Short lines all over - so I know where the trim piece goes. Then I take a small piece of paper towel soaked in trim solvent and wipe down the area where the trim piece goes. Then immediately and liberally spray with windex (the ammonia type). Lay the trim piece down and use a flexible”spreader” and work out the bubbles and windex. When done the trim piece is down for good. I use a little more trim solvent to clean up the sharpy marks and seal the edges. Won’t come off after this. Using this method, you can repostition the trim piece if needed. No need to wait for glue to stick, it is done when you work out the windex. Easy peasy.

Have you ever tried this method with Ultracote?

Thank you got that will try that method as I have zero experience with monocote. Well let’s just say the last time to try Monocote it was 20 years ago.

Well started covering the Factor 30cc with monocote boy is this stuff different, needs a lot more heat boy does it like to wrinkle. It does not stick to wood well but does stick to its self well. Really have to change my method of covering. Got the tab and rudder covered. Will fit and glue the stabilizer back into the fuselage later today.

I have used this with success when using Monocoat. You can apply several coats too for fuel proofing.
