Hey @Bartman

Chad Veich over on RCSB also has a set of 1/4 scale plans for the P-51. There is also a build thread of someone building the plane over on RCSB as well, but I do not know how to post a link. From what I've seen and read, they are one of the best set of plans around for scale accuracy. Chad's website is www.cwvmodels.com

112" P-51D, plans are metric so great option for people outside the US where metric materials are standard.

Thanks for the tip, I've never heard of that one. I reached out to Chad, here's his reply and a video review of his plans that he sent;

Thank you for your interest in my plans, much appreciated. The plan set consisting of 5 sheets of plans as well as 8 sheets of full size templates can be purchased directly from me in PDF format for $50. I will also include a DXF file of the parts for laser/cnc cutting purposes if you can utilize it, just let me know if you want it too. Printed copies are also available if you do not have means of getting them printed yourself but I would have to do some research on the cost of printing and shipping as I have not had any printed in quite some time. As for the airplane itself it is a full 1/4 scale, approximately 112 inch wing span, and utilizes traditional balsa and plywood construction. Both the cowl and radiator are shown built up on the plans but a fiberglass cowl is available from Vic Catalasan at www.VicRC.com in Southern California. The canopy is available through Precision Cut Kits and is the unit they offer for the Don Smith Mustang plan of the same scale. Retracts, both main and tail, are those offered by Sierra Giant Scale. A laser cut kit is available from Laser Cut Kits Australia as they are the only ones who were willing and able to source the necessary metric wood sizes. Because the plan was a commission work for an Italian customer of mine it utilizes metric wood throughout, some of which is simply not available in the northern hemisphere it would seem. Please consider this before purchasing if you intend to source and cut your own parts. While some of the material have close Imperial equivalents that could be substituted others do not. Not an insurmountable problem but one that can be frustrating on a design that makes considerable use of tab-and-slot type construction. If you are a member of RC Scale Builder (Or don't mind signing up if you're not) then a build thread with lots more information about the airplane can be seen at the link below. Alternatively, a quick look over the plan set is available on YouTube if you prefer. If you decide to purchase payment can be made via PayPal or by check/money when the time comes.
