Just ran across this! Finally some good news for Futaba customers!

https://futabausa.com/

Dear Valued Customers,

For many years Futaba Corporation’s Hobby Radio Control equipment repairs and customer service was part of an exclusive distribution agreement between Hobbico, Inc. and Futaba Corporation. During that time Hobbico’s “Hobby Services” was responsible for all of North America’s service and customer support based in Champaign, IL.

In recent weeks with Hobbico Inc.’s sale and lack of service support on Futaba product, Futaba Corporation has begun work on a North America Futaba Hobby Radio Control Service Center based in Huntsville, AL.

At this time, the service center is not able to make repairs yet but we hope to be fully operational in the upcoming weeks. We are very sorry for this inconvenience and are moving as quickly as we can to resume offering a great service center that is equipped to service all products and offer expert technical support on all your favorite Futaba RC products.

If you are faced with an immediate question requiring technical advice, feel free to email service@futabaUSA.com and a Futaba HRC Division employee will assist you with your inquiry.

We will make an official announcement when the North America Futaba Hobby Radio Service Center is ready to take repair and warranty requests. We look forward to working with all our fantastic customers directly from Futaba!

That is some good news. They do have quality stuff and have been around for a long time. If only they had just one power safe receiver.

Fantastic news. I have used Futaba for as long as I have been in the hobby and really did not want to change. Of course having a box full of receiver's it would have been a while anyway. As for the power safe, well, there are very viable ways around that issue and for me better as I don't like all that power going through a Rx anyway.

Agree, good news. I've got all of my Futaba transmitters dating back 35 years (most in a box somewhere). The only reason I upgrade is more channels or a switch to 2.4. I hear programming is easier with the 16/18 sz's so another upgrade someday but what to do with my 9C Super or my 14SG. Or my Conquest? They all still work.

So
Huntsville AL!
Isn't that Tony's shop? I cant remember the name now, and I lost all of my bookmarks when I upgraded my PC.

I’m keeping my 8FG as a trainer/buddybox radio

Two Fromeco switches, two Fromeco 5200 mah batteries straight into a 14 channel receiver controlling 8 MKS 777's and a throttle servo or 8 Hitecs. No powerbox of any kind ever. But I don't fly aggressive 3D.
