That must be Superior German Engineering 3w power for it to rrrriiiip... those horns out like that. View attachment 103436
Pretty cool lil plane bro. I likey.

Nope. No Super German.......Just typical China . And @Snoopy1 Nailed it.....DO NOT use blue lock tight. It melts the plastic!!!!!!!!

Did some super Kelly engineering on the rudder horn (Installing a new one would destroy to much foam). Going to have Flex send me some new Aileron horns ( they remove fairly easy) under warranty. All this head ache because of poor quality hardware on the control rods :gnashing:.
I am sooooooo lucky this plane is still in one piece. Did not catch the Aileron horn until after I flew two packs on it and yes I was banging the sticks hard! in the HE3D and LS3D modes. This plane does have decent servos in it! MG digitals About 90ozin @.11transit. And the power system is awesome for an electric!

I burnt midnight oil and went ahead and did both aileron horns :ugh:. As it stands right now the only nut / bolt / horn / control rod that worked as it should was the elevator o_O. Flex does not offer the horns. They make you get another wing panel. So to the shop I went and stayed up half the night :bigyawn: (1 hour or less assembly my @$$) :lol2: . Everything turned out well though and now I can fly with some confidence in the control surfaces.

Got some rudder horn repair to do again on the new CAP232. I discovered that the "ATV" set up in the Aura8 was a bit excessive for the rudders mechanical limit and thus what's happening.........Other wise plane is a super flyer! Me LIKE :).

Ok you sir you seem to be the Aura8 expert, I bought one a little while back read the instructions and never looked at it again I was lost. So now that I know you have good understanding of the unit do you mind helping me through the first setup when I decide to use it.

Just an after thought.......Although I have a good understanding of the Aura AFCS system in no way do I consider myself "An Expert" . The best method of learning the system is through the "Aura Configuration Tool". There is also a FAQ and wiki on the Flex site to help modelers/flyers of this system. Of course I will help you but a lap top and the Aura tool are a must. The Aura 8 comes "pre-programmed" in the specific planes it serves but you can purchase the "open stock" unit by itself and set up your own program or "load" any of the "specific" programs that Flex offers on to it. When the time comes for you just let me know and we can e-mail one another for the conversation will be lengthy at times ;).

Then he got a little crazy!! I was giggling like a school girl when I flipped the switch!
In the words of my neighbor “ I was sitting in the house watching tv, when I saw smoke... thought my truck went up! I’ve seen less smoke from a house fire!” He’s a fire dept deputy lol!!

Played with smoke before but only on glow engines but it looks like these little 20 cc gas engines can really put out some smoke. Looks good.
