Air Force resurrects 53-year-old B-52 from desert boneyard for active duty

I thought most B52s were cut in pieces at the end of the cold war.
The early models were mostly destroyed for salvage but the G and H models had the TF 33 engines and the H models have the short vertical fin and those are the ones modified and updated and in current use some of them are at Davis Monthan AFB but are not being rushed in the cutter as they are valuable for spares and refurbs.
