I like 'em "BIG"!
I think we all are....:dancing-chicken:

Ok I am in on this would not miss it for the world. And yes it is a big plane. Going to enjoy following this build something else than a 3D type plane. Will be interesting to see how you try to keep the weight of the plane. And one thing I noticed is9.8 inches is a little more than 9 3/16 but you have your finger in correct location on the ruler. The only question I have rightly now is it going to be painted.
That is very awesome. Thanks guys. I will try not to let you down.

Give er a whirl! I used these grommets:

And some 1/16 ply from BUSA.
Thanks Tanner! I appreciate it. I have quite a supply of extra ply and I also have some rubber grommets like what you showed. I think I will give it a whirl.

Widdled some balsa last night. Need to do some final touches and cover it up

That’s not looking to bad a little sanding and some stucco and covering and it will be like new. That is not easy to cut in sheeting like that very difficult to get it perfect and smooth. The only thing is it will fly again.

Far from perfection, but I think it will work just fine. It's my first smoker plane so letting it get dirty, and with all the little bumps, bruises, and scab patches is helping me get over the don't hurt the new plane or covering thought. LOL

"New Car" smell is NOT guaranteed. Even in new cars....Go ahead....Ask me how I know this......

Well, today has been a random job day. I recently stiffened the pushrods in my King Kobra which really added some weight to the tail. So I was able to take some lead out of the tail today to fix that issue.

Next, I had a bent shaft on one of my quad motors. So I replaced that motor so there aren’t any more unneeded vibrations.

My P-47 had one landing gear cutout in the wing that was catching one side as the gear transited. So I took a hobby knife to that part of the sheeting so that will no longer be an issue.

I hope to replace the tubing in my ARS gas tank today along with tightening up the belt on the engine for my Goblin helicopter. Then all my RC stuff should be up to 100% :)
