The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I like 'em "BIG"!
A friend of mine that used to race Quickies told me one day that he knew it was time to clean the workbench when he had to set the airplane on a coffee can just to work on it.:)
Someone once told me, "A clean desk", (my HP days) is a sign of a sick mind. Now days, I can't even find my table. I know it is down there somewhere. Lurking beneath the layers of tools, parts, containers, irons, more tools, more parts...more containers....

I think it is safe to say I do not have a sick mind. LOL.

First off errrrrr. Went to grab the fuse this morning to sand and prepare the back to glue the fin on. Already had the stab on and hit the fuse and to the floor it went bending the stab in the process. It’s still solid but still caused a little of the skin to delaminate.

After that frustration and glueing the vertical on I got the notch cut in the wing tip to fit the throwing blade. It’s all set and ready to go. Will get it glued in tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hangar rash is a part of our lives just like any other "itch" :ugh:.

It’s always the first one that hurts the most. And worst thing is you keep looking at it. Hope it’s on the bottom for you.

Now days I seem to "create" work that's not usually necessary. While attempting to epoxy the turtle deck former that had popped loose I put a nice little "Creator" in the turtle deck :face-palm:. And some thin ca down the side of the fuse was a nice touch too .

Just think of it as job security Kelly. ;) What you really need is about 8 or 9 more airframes to work on. That’ll keep ya on the straight and narrow!
