Check out the photos of the big airplane PVC storage rack. Can’t take credit, merely sharing the idea I saw when picking up the Python from its previous owner. I think it’s genius, like Wile E. Coyote super genius!

Like the invention and saves a lot of space. But I have one question the little flange on the bottom is it strong enough or does the tube also go through the wood as well. Just asking or would you stand a 40% plane up on those two tubes.

Ok had the opportunity to strip the DLE222. It is a mess, on of the bearings failed on the Conrad on the piston end. The needle bearing failed and went through the two back two cylinders. Will have order some parts and clean it up and put it back together. Must say it is not a bad engine the machining is not bad.

I spent the last couple evenings in the shop putting lights on a foam Cessna Corvalis for a friend of mine. I think he should be able to see it at night now.

What happened to the triple deuce quad? What version? My sons is a V3 and is basically badass. Not as so bad as his daddy's read headed beast quad. But pretty darn close. I think about the only I don't like about the 222 is that they (DLE) did not upgrade it when they up'd the 61 and the 120. (Which by the way is actually a 122) Wouldn't it be awesome if DLE made a 244 quad? Or better yet, a 366 six cylinder. Ah but you know what would happen then? 3w would bring back their 6 banger. Like that would be a bad thing? Lol

Don’t know for sure, but will ask. I’m guessing the pipe is glued into the flange which is screwed into the wood. All the the aircraft weight should be acting straight down and not causing the flange to bend.

The strange thing about it all was that we has been flying it for 5 years. And as you have said it is a power house and has run flawless except for the a couple of ignition failures. Just on Sunday at slightly above idle it failed with absolutely no warning. And looking at the 2 good cylinders they look like new and to that I think that red line oil does keep things really clean and with just about zero carbon buildup.

I agree but still a concern I would not be happy if that was my car there and one of the planes landed on my car.
