I am no Terry or Jet at it but have done it before. Similar methods and products but the Zona is definitely better as well as easier and the PVA would be so much easier than what I used.

Thanks for posting Jet.
I wish there was a favorites for threads like that.

I do mine different because I'm cheap, and I use the materials I have on hand.;) I'll post my process as I go.

Yup terry originally showed the zona saw trick. I used it when I split the cowl on a buddy’s 33% hangar 9 Edge. Threw away my xacto was afterwords as I was so sold on how the zona did.

Tonight I laid down the glass cloth in the cowl for the lip. I started by masking the outside right to the edge with blue vinyl "Finelines" Masking tape. I then used clear package tape on the inside of the top section and let it wrap around the edges onto the outside. Then I smeared Vaseline on the clear tape, then taped the two halves back together as flat and tight as possible.

The glass cloth I used is 4 ounce I'm fairly sure. I put down two layers on the sides and three at the spinner. Tomorrow night I'll cross my fingers and pop it apart. :omg:

Looks good . I have done it once and as you said cross your fingers that it comes apart. Lucky mine came apart but still had work at it a little. But I wound do it again in an instant., especially if it is a twin. Just makes life so easy. Nice job.
