Just getting caught up Doug. Great progress. 45 degrees is a great amount to have. I have always been of the mind that I set my planes up with as much deflection as I can get. I kind of look at throws like throttle management. Probably won't need it "all" the time. But it is so nice to have it if you need it in an emergency. There have been a few planes I am certain I would have lost if it were not for having a grip load of throw control. Maybe that is why the little Blue Nose was all over the sky when I re-maidened it a month ago huh? LOL.

Not much progress to see in the last few days. I've been spending time fitting control horns and other tedious projects until I get the Hysol.
Tony called Chief last week and they were sending everything that was backordered except the White Rose tail wheel carbon spring which was still not there. The tracking said it should be there Monday (today). Saturday his wife calls him at work and tells him there is an order there from Chief. When he gets home and opens it, it's a tail wheel spring and nothing else. The tracking number he had still said delivery on Monday so the tail wheel spring came out of nowhere.
He brought me the tail wheel spring yesterday, and I can't say I'm sure it's really a White Rose part. It doesn't match all the listed dimensions, but it will work. I'm still hoping the Hysol and the rest will show up today, but at this point I'm not convinced anything is actually coming.

That is frustrating when you are all ready to glue it all in. Can you not just use some “West Epoxy and mix in a little thickener and use that.

There are thickeners that is sold by the West company that will not let it run. a Friend of mine was using it on fully size plane a couple of years back and worked exceptionally well. Do not know the designations of the product but it does exist.
