Since it cannot be dissolved or gotten rid of, it simply stays in the body? I know most any plastics are that way as well. I have a small piece of plastic that came off a hammer that is in one of my fingers that has been there for probably around 50 years now.

Every now and then I hit my finger at a certain angle and am quickly reminded about it. I think carbon fiber may have some other bad/strange qualities about it.
You are correct about that. Give it a couple of years and it will be condemned like asbestos.

The 75" edge came with plastic baffles for an electric motor only, cut them in half, and glued into the cowl ears with Welders Glue.

I also burned out the rear air exit holes.

Gap Sealing.
I'm using Clear Ultracote. Bring the control surface to full deflection and measure how thick of a piece you need to cut. Note that the Ailerons are tapered from 1" down to a little under 3/4" and since I dont want to be wasteful with one uncut strip, I cut one tapered edge and filled the remainder in with a 3/4" strip. The rudder was about 1" and the elevator was about 7/8".

I found the trick for me is to line up the strip, tack it on, and while holding the other side strait start from the hinge point and iron it on flat.

Build is coming along nicely. Looking forward to its completion and flight report. You going to install any kind of flight stabilization? or fly it "Raw Electric" ? I was / used to be opposed to them in larger planes until I flew my buddies 35cc Demonstrator with one. Was amazed what I could make it do! Loads of fun!

No flight stabilation for me, just thumbs!
My spinner backing plate had a QC issue, it was ground uneven so it had a wobble. Called Zach at extreme Flight and after he received a picture, he said he’ll ship another one to me.

Hate to quote myself :p But when I posted this Zach at Extreme Flight had it shipped out the next day. Great Customer Service, just need to give them a shout via telephone sometimes because I'm sure they get swamped. Fast forward to today. Still no backplate, I e-mailed extreme flight and Zach replied within 24 hours to find that it has been sitting in a sorting facility for weeks with USPS. He started a claim with USPS and shipped another one out to me.

Good thing I had other stuff to work on. plane is done minus a spinner. I need to catch up with photos!
