Wings are on and flying wires done. Tomorrow I will cut the cowl and check balance for placement of the Rx and batteries.

Cut the cowl first thing this morning. Here it is checking the balance points, the first pic is with no weight and the batteries at the rear of the canopy. The Rx did not make any difference so it will go where most convenient. The second pic is with 12.47oz on the tail and I really don't like adding that kind of weight. So first up is to move the rudder servos rearward one slot, third pic. And if that don't do it enough I'll change out the LiPo's for Fromeco's Li-Ion four cell packs, got a feeling I'll be changing out the batteries.

Do not have to have the top wing on as well. Do think it will help you balance the plane.
Manual states,
"It’s time to check the CG and get our batteries mounted. Make sure you have the prop and spinner mounted. You will not need the top wing for this."
The picture's show it without the top wing, struts, and wires.

Sorry did not know that I have always had to balance a biplane with both wings. But if Pau has figured it out with one it makes life a lot easier.

Yea, me to and it does help a lot.
And thanks to a fella on another forum reminding me, I took a look and there are mounts in the tail for rudder servo's. So that should help a lot in not adding any weight.

So moving the servos did remove 5oz of needed weight, but those measurements are at the middle of the cg range, at the front another 2oz would come off. So for now I have a good middle of the road and will check it again after all the wiring has been done as I imagine it would add a little weight being 20awg and three feet in length time's four. This was also without the rudder linkages installed so more tail weight to come. First pic is the new middle cg with 6.5oz needed and the other pic is the front of cg with only 4.5oz needed.

With the Rx in I can cut the tail wire's. Four wire's at 37-1/2" runs 3oz on the nose not counting the connectors. So another oz. or two for the rudder push rods and I should be golden. So much so I think I will add the smoke pump, going to give the Miracle r/c one a try and against my better judgement I may place the pump on the cg. Uhhh, we'll see about the placement. lol

Looks from all the changes you are not going to have to add any weight that is always so important to me, it just bugs me to add dead weight to a plane.
