Thanks Snoops...you're the best.

Look if we are going to break the bank then this is the one, could you just imagine this in front of the Extra that would be something to behold and hear. Dream on. 110 red head four cylinder $$$$$$.

Now you know how I feel with my Behemoth yak and my 212 red-headed 4-cylinder. It is truly an outstanding sound. You do know they make a 112 cc four cylinder, correct?

Sorry I got the numbers wrong I meant 112cc and yes I have looked at it many times over the years. But it will not do 3D nice engine, nice sound but a little heavy. I would have to do a lot work to the fuselage to get that to fit.

Got the four bevels cut for the elevators, that is always a job I am a little apprehensive doing. Also the drawings call for a single bevel on one side but I decided to change it to two bevels looks better and the gap is a lot smaller.
If anyone has simple or easy way of making them I would love to hear from you.

I don't know my friend. As for that, you would know that better than anyone. But I truly disagree with the thought that a 4-cylinder cannot do 3D. That was a huge debate not so long ago when my son put his dle 222 4-cylinder on his Pau 43% Edge 540. He can toss that thing around as easily as any other plane with a twin on it. That is why I ultimately decided to buy my 3w red-headed four-cylinder. I put it on to my Behemoth Yak as you know. Both huge planes will do anything that the planes that are powered by twins will do. The upside of that is they will do it and they sound so cool while they are showing their bad ass attitude. LOL. You are however correct regarding weight. They are slightly heavier than a twin. And depending on the airframe, it could be a challenge to make that airframe accommodate such a motor. Also, the price is definitely an influencing factor. One huge advantage that I have with my 3w engines, is that not running the stock ignition and upgrading it to the rcexl ignition system, all of those Dub engines twist up like a Ferrari. So really I lose nothing with my 4-cylinder versus a high-spirited twin. Just my opinion. But if you're wanting light and agile...you're definitely on the right track.

The only experience I have with a four cylinder is my flying buddy has a DLE 222 and yes it is more than capable of doing 3D. Wonderful power actually power to spare, but what I do not know how well it scales down to a 35% plane and 112 cc engine. I am only make my judgment on the extra weight other than that I have no idea. Never seen a video or any aeroplane with the 112 four cylinder in it or even doing 3D.

I think... I still have the video of my original Pilot V2 Edge 540. The Purple Crown Royal Scheme. I originally set it up with a DLA 128 four banger. It sounded cool as heck. And the plane flew nice with it. There is a huge difference in the power band between a twin and a four cylinder. Unfortunately the motor was pure junk. Burnt the first one up in a matter of 8 minutes flat. Literally seized it up. The warranty replacement would not stay running. After 3 dead sticks in the first 5 flights, I sent it back. I should have put a "Dub" on it from the start. I can honestly state this much. For a 100-120cc sized plane, I feel that a four banger is cool and really runs great.... (not including the DLA) But seriously over weight for great handling of an airframe that size. Just my experience.
Aah! Here it is! Honestly the only good flight I got from that motor. Where was my head? Hello???? 3w? Send me a red head. LOL

Well back at the workbench today cleaned up some small imperfections and and prepared the LE for the balsa to be glued on. Now just have wait a couple of hours and then I can glue the LE on.
Have to make small change to stabilizer so that it can now be beveled TE.
