I have to agree everybody. Would not change a thing. I have had a great life good times and bad.
Sounds about right! I have carpel tunnel from riveting on floats 'back in the day", now working on airliners on the line and reflecting on how I got here today and realizing how blessed I really am. Sometimes when tinkering my hands go numb, lets you know you're alive and a reminder that I am glad I'm not in a shop beating my body like I used to.

On a different note and speaking of tinkering, I think I may pull the trigger on a Extreme Flight Edge 540 V2 92" 70cc. I think it will fit in my truck. NWRC now has them in stock and so far have been pleased with my 75" and have always wanted to venture into this larger realm of planes.

Yea, I hear a lot of guys call it the good ole days but quite frankly this is the good ole days. Don't get me wrong, those days of past got us to where we are and I would not change a thing but not having to live that way at our age is most definitely the good life. I mean come on, which one of us old farts would even consider lifting a trainy into place now, in the best of weather? Hell no!!!
Even though working on cars is not my profession these days, I still work on my own cars when needed. I put a C-V front shaft in last weekend. I have a shop that I can get my car in and can do most anything that needs to be done, but sometimes if I am really busy and don't want to work on them, I know a guy that is honest and solid mechanic that will do work for me. If I put in a tranny now days, I make sure I have a lift :)

I can't agree on changing nothing... there are some things in my life that I sometimes wish were different. But I also am wise enough to know that if even one day was changed, it would alter my entire future from that day forward. In that case, I would change NOTHING. I could not bear the thought of my life without my children or my grandchildren. I may not consider lifting a tranny into place while laying flat on my back and resting the beast on my stomach. First: both of us could not fit under the vehicle like we could some 43 years ago. Yikes.... and second, my thrill is lifting behemoth rc airplane engines into their awesome perch on some beast plane. LOL

So I just saw that extreme Flight disclosed the release of the new 78” extra 300 V2 this March. And it’s a full pound lighter than the previous version!!! Wow

Now that sounds interesting what more do know about it and is it a 35cc plane or a 50cc.
