Hello From Ohio!

Hello all. I have been on this board since 2017 and been flying since I was 16. I'm 52 now and don't care to do the math. If I do the math, I will make myself feel old!
I started like most others did back then, with a Control Line plane and a Cox engine (Damn little finger biters). Moved into the Nitro Stuff then Gas, Electric, Starting to play with the turbine stuff now too. But I still find myself going back to the giant scale gassers.
This is where my heart always goes, to see a giant scale 3D bird flown by a good pilot is just a thing of beauty. To see a scale bird flown scale is also a thing of beauty. I just like the larger scale. Maybe because I'm getting older and can't see the small one a well anymore.

I have read these forums for 2 years now, and thought it was about time, I sat down and said hi and thank you to everyone here for their helpfulness and all the post that I have read over the years.
I truly do enjoy this site.

I fly out of the Findlay Flying Circuits in Findlay, Ohio - What a great peanut gallery we have there. All Good Members, no drama, just fun flying. Good Stuff.

I look forward to reading more great posts, and now that I've broken the ice, maybe posting a few things myself.

Thanks, Guess I was a little shy.. Any of the guys at the field would not call me that! Thank for the welcome! I will try to start chatting a little more on here!

Well great that you have joined us. Welcome and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, lot of good people with endless knowledge and very willing to help.
Question do you live near the steel plant ProTec. Spent a lot of time at the plant when it was being built.

I will agree with all that Snoopy1!! ProTec I think is in Leipsic, Ohio if I'm right... I live about 35 Minutes east of there. So.... Sort of close! I would drive there to pickup an airplane that I bought, but I wouldn't want to walk home from there if my truck broke down.

Welcome. That was a great way to introduce yourself. Lots of 50/60 somethings posting up here so your going to fit right in. And the younger folks here are very knowledgeable and helpful too because as you and I know how to "forget" real good . Hope ya like a good burger now and then .

Welcome! I'm 52 as well. Started about 15 years old so very similar (except I refuse(d) to fly control line). Please don't be a stranger.
