Come to a grinding stop. Threaded rod will not work and I do not have 2 inch long 4-40 socket head cap screws. So now I am on the hunt for some. If I have to order them from the US it will be 2 to 3 weeks before I get them not good.
Well I have to find another way to do it so I will be rummaging around my stuff to see what there is to solve the problem.

Well changed direction decided to go with a 3/8 hardwood bushing that is threaded all the way through the rudder and with 8-32 threaded rod and then the standard HD connections. From the picture just have wait for the polyurethaning Gorilla glue cure and then sand it all smooth and then it will be done.

That will work, wonder why you didn't make the horns out of the same sheet used for other surfaces? Nall was great by the way, hope to make it back with an airplane or two in the future. Got to give it to the 3D line, they hammer it all day long, 3 to 4 plane in the air at all times, the main line is more my style however.

JoeNall is impressive a lot to see and if you look long enough it is there. The best of the best can be found there. Hopefully in future we will meet there and sit back and enjoy it all. Maybe we can try to see if a few of us can meet there and camp together. And yes I like to do 3D but have always stayed at the main line .

@Jetpainter can you give me some advice please. Going to order some paint from Westwing but it is base coat clear coat. Do I have to clear coat it and if I do can I use any clear coat. It is just expensive to ship paint from the US to Canada. So if I just order the paint and buy clear coat at local store. Will that work, if you have any suggestions it will be appreciated, thanks.

Most basecoats will have little to no shine unless cleared, and they also depend on the clear for UV protection. Generally you can clear it with any clear, but I would make a test panel just to be sure. Any 2 part automotive clear would be fine. The 2 part catalyzed spray can clear works good too.

I am at a stand still because I do not have an engine to fit into the plane. But if I can come up with a colour scheme that has the cowl one colour for example all orange then that will allow me to come with colour scheme for the rest of the plane. Which in turn will allow me to cover the rest of the plane and get that part done before the engine is installed and cowl finished. Anyone have any suggestions.
One request for some information on a 120 size plane that is good for 3D what is the size or power of the servo that is being used on the rudder, Thanks.
