I have been taking a long look at these servos now I must say up front I have always like JR and they have never let me down. Still have my 12x and it has been flawless for the last 18 years or so. This servo from JR looks really interesting and the specifications are up there with the best of them S8911 Brushless Servo.
Same price as the 599 plus it is programable.

Well boys that’s it for this build, was going to do some covering but thought it would be better to wait till the motor is done And cowl painted. Everything is also really slow. Thanks for all the interest and help.

Got the rudder attachment made did it the old faithful way 3 pieces of nyrod pressed in 3/4 of an inch and CA in place. Then three wood screws in to the nyrod so that is done. Have a little difficulty with rudder not sure if I am going to use one or two servos. They have to be in the back because the plane is not set up for pull pull cables. So need to install one or two servos in the back. Anyone have any suggestions, one is easier to set up but??

@Snoopy1 I used 2 servos. Just provides peace of mind. I used a SmartFly PowerExpander that has servo matching so it made the install easy.

The smartfly expander only matches three points centre and the two end points nothing in between. Or am I incorrect. Would have put 2 in if I could buy 1m22 from AR, Booma but it looks like it is not available anymore. Do not know of a another.

Hey there Snoopy1,

You might want to give the Xtremelink X24 expander a looksee. It does servo matching, provides a power supply for ignition and much, much more.

Have a look here .
