Love it great spinner I have several but you will only do it once put a electric starter to it and it is done for.
Also take your time on the little screws around the base and put enough blue Locktite on them. Also mark the location of the spinner and backplate so it always go on the same way.

All wise words. I've got three different bottles of blue locktite so dont worry about that, and luckily I can hand start this motor with ease. Been marking spinner locations for years... even full scale.
Thanks, I'll gobble up any tip I can get!
Nothing like drilling and grinding on a $60 spinner though..... no pressure

Some of you may remember my extensive research to find the same plastic felt clunk as in the fortitude fuel tanks...
I determined ZAMA made in the USA as the right brand. They supply clunks for STHL and other companies.
The cheaper ones off amazon and eBay what I purslchased turned out to be poorly fit and put together. Either the metal weight was too narrow in diameter, or the felt was not long enough for proper tension.
ZAMA
ZF-2 up to 30cc
ZF-4 30cc and up

Only difference is the actual size of the clunk, both have the same fuel tube ID. Unlike the ZF-1/3.

So I put in a ZF-4 instead of a OEM ZF-2, for a heavier clunk.

I like how these little filters have a micron screen in them. Everyone fears the felt will get in the carb. The extreme Flight felt clunks do not, and have more resistance than these when blown through.

I cut my 3year old clunk to only find a small amount of material in the micron filter.

These are both the ZF-2

So where did you get the real deal from? I like those.

I've been using eBay. Lots of impostors.... make sure they are genuine zama, not comparable to, or like, Stens are very similar... but the design is a little bit different. I'll buy ones that have a picture in the bag like I had shown in the picture.
ZF-2 are about $5 shipped
ZF-4 are about $10 shipped

Yep I did. Finally got to check it all out in a small 10oz tank in the Cub. The DLE 35 started easily and ran great using one.

One thing I noticed in an 8oz tank is that tygon is not flexible enough with the short length of fuel tubing inside the tank. I used Viton and still wasn't that impressed and ended up using the ZF-4 instead. Not a problem with my 14-16oz tanks... unless you forget to change your stiff tygon out :ooh?:
Curious what tank you are using that is 10oz????
