BTW...any particular reason this one 'won't be' powered by gas?

Probably has to do more with precision than anything else. Having a retractable lower vertical is something nobody sees and will be truly unique. Would get a lot of attention if you did have any interest in it. Either way, your builds a re a joy to follow!!

Protection Mechanism
Soft Start Protection Soft start to neutral position.
Over Voltage Protection Over 9.0V drive the protection mode and 8.4V return to normal mode.
Low Voltage Protection Lower than 4.0V, drive the protection mode and 4.5V return to normal mode.
Locked Rotor Protection Stall in 5 sec, output torque goes down.
Temperature Protection Overheat 85 degree C, drive the protection mode and down 75 degree C
return to normal mode.

good question, but being I had purchased the large (100cc electric motor) for another project that didn't pan out, I will use in this one . but the way the airplane is built, I can always revert to gas later if I so please or can afford LOL

It’s a steep learning curve for sure but FrSky has come up with some amazing stuff at affordable cost. love my old taranis x9d+

If it wasn’t for flying DLG’s I would upgrade to the X10S.

This is the brushless motor that will go into the Laser

With the ESC's and batteries available (100C) it will be a "thrill ride" for sure .
