The covering came to a screeching halt after the last post because I thought about what I mentioned back on the Bulldog 2 thread. I am seriously considering using this fuse for that build as I really don't need this one. I already have the Red Eagle, AW Ultimate, and the PAU Ultimate. What do I need with this Challenger sitting in the trailer as it would probably be like the PAU and just collect dust. So for now, and until after the holidays, the Challenger is on hold.

Just finish all the covering and all the base coats. So then it will be ready for any engine and colour scheme you want on it at a later date.

Thanks for the advice but for now it is on hold. The biggest problem is I really just have no desire to actually be doing any of it, still sick of building I think. But the weather is not allowing any flying, either to cold or to windy or both.

I can understand that if you asked me to build during the summer flying season I can’t just no desire at all. What happens to me is I have to be done with everything by the time I go to JoeNall because after that all I do is maintenance and flying till October or November or when it gets miserable or to cold to fly. At that time I am starting to get interested in doing some building again.

I have been bouncing around on this all day and finally decided to just finish the recover, a lot less work and could use it cleared out of the shop. As for the Bulldog 2, maybe someday I'll get around to it but it is more of a scratch build and I know for sure I don't want to start anything like that for a while.
So once we get through Christmas I'll try and wrap this thing up.
Also like to note I have been wanting a Corsair since my last one nearly ten years ago. For some reason a Meister Scale build is very tempting. I don't know why being I don't want to build unless it is because it is so different than what I have built in the last five years.

I’ve always had a thing for the long nose F2G Corsair. Guess it must be related to the R4360 engine.
Saw this one a few years ago, but have no idea if this kit is available.

Yes, those are still available, go to the home page they have other offerings as well. I have seen their work via Monster Panes and they do really nice work.
So go and order you up one!!!

We lost one of our fields a year ago. About a month ago a new field was found and it is an small paved private runway. All our fields up to then were grass or sod farms so now that our new field is paved I have been thinking of a war bird. I do not have good memories of them. All of the ones I had were around 72 inch wingspan, over weight and difficult to fly and retracts were a constant maintenance but sure looked GOOD up in the air with the retracts up and full speed across the deck.

Well, the warbirds are different and I also hate the air retracts. But warbirds are like any other airframe as the bigger the better they fly and we now have electric gear. So I'm thinking a 100"ws with electric gear might not be so bad. Of course a bigger ws with a four stroke pulling it would be even better. As it currently stands I am looking at Meister Scale, a Moki would fit but not this fella so it would have to be a two stroke and that is my only draw back right now.

Of course there is the Carf and RC Scale Corsairs of which both would house the Valach 250 radial. So the options are something of a kit like Meister Scale for probably less than 5K or the composites for more than 10.
