NEW VIDEO ALERT!

Kept it under five minutes, enjoy! After reviewing the slow motion portion (2:28) of my wing encounter with the ground, I may have to do some exploratory surgery.
Nice edit brother.

Have you ever had a bear sneak up behind you while you're flying?

Nice edit brother.

Have you ever had a bear sneak up behind you while you're flying?

Thanks!

YES. Black Bear, Porcupine, and even Bald Eagle full talon attack at a plane. Black Bear and Porkies are usually just doing their own thing and don't care about you or your plane. I've taken off and landed with them next to my runway strip and I've just seen them watch as it goes past. It's daunting being the only one flying and a huge fuzzy black thing pops into your peripherals. The eagles will soar from far out at a higher altitude to size up my planes from above, Last flight I had with the ARS, I putted in slow circles while an eagle soared above me in circles looking at the plane... He decided to move along ha ha ha. Pretty fun to watch. I have only had a couple times seeing them with their wings swept back, talons out and extended having to do evasive maneuvering.

That would make things interesting for sure. Worse thing we have to worry about around here is a bee or horse fly buzzing your head while flying.

Here is why the wing strut blind nuts fail in the wing. Mine sheared. And there appears to be about zero glue.

Nice flying you are getting to know the plane, and enjoying it. Like you said the power you have in the plane is more than enough.
