Happy to help!! Below is my original post about my gear fitting, so yes, just like yours. The welded cross brace and the left spring strut I had to bend to fit. The struts where they attach together inside the bracket I had to file to fit so they wouldn't touch in the middle. The forward bracket inboard bolt I reamed to a larger bolt like the stock gear uses - looks like yours is smaller? I had to elongate the bracket holes so everything could line up. keeping the bolts loose while fitting was key along with taking everything apart and back together several times. Major PITA. Heck one of my gear axel brace isn't even true so it sits a little funny - Tires point in the right direction though. So when you are bending your parts to fit, double check which side you need to bend/elongate in a better direction in case they are not true. . . you'll end up with a better finish. I don't know if it's the gear or the plane.... Also be sure to hit those blind nut retainers with glue!!! I had one pop loose with my rear gear bracket, frustrating, but was able to re-glue it.

Thanks again so much for your reply! Ok, I guess I will just keep messing with it. I just never thought it would be this much work and frustration with the Xcub gear to get them to work with the Timber.

No Problem! Like I said in my OP, It's a labor of love to get them to fit.
 
Did a lot research before I made my decision to go electric but I kept the door open to be able to back to a big DA engine.
The following equipment is installed into the plane. 40cc XPWR motor, falcon 20-10 E, 12s-4000 mPh this the new series of Graphene chemistry and ESC Phoenix Edge HV -120A .also running two 1800mAh rx battery packs. Weight came in ready on the runway 20 lbs 10oz.
Unfortunately it has not flown just had another 2 inches of snow today the weather has just been horrid, just have to be patient to get it flying. This is my first big electric plane and I have some concerns on how to charge the batteries at the field. That is another discussion.

Are you just plugging those 1800mah packs straight in to the RX or, are you running them through a BEC first?

The plane is not built to last very long. You are really finding all the weak links in the plane, and you are not even thrashing the plane. Looks like one season plane and then it is ready for complete strip down and rebuild over the winter for next season.

I did fly the wingtip into the ground to make that happen HA HA. Wing was solid - without the struts. If the struts were on the window probably would have been fine. I wish the design used cross braces, thicker ply, stronger cabin structure, and lots more glue. I really think this plane is awesome, just not a 3D plane like advertised. Electric will probably keep the weight down, and thus last a bit longer.
 
Mine is coming along. all surfaces complete, all servos installed, landing gear (FINALLY finished), switches and wiring installed, went around the nose and cockpit all over the frame and applied epoxy to critical structural places that looked like they lacked enough epoxy.
