Thanks Nick! Do you have any issues with tail wheel tracking 'delayed' ? Maybe I just need to tighten my springs.

You need tighter springs. The best steering response and deflections I had was with my 2" tailwheel bracket design. I should dig that one up and post it - It just didn't work for the beaches I was flying off of. I learned that a loose spring will null your control inputs. My current design requires a bit more torque, but works well, If it had bearings it would be a lot better as now it needs to overcome friction.

Sounds good. I'll see if I can find some tighter ones. Thanks

Nice flight report! Bravo!
Those leaf springs move back and forth on each other, I foresee that tape giving up eventually. Also the flex in the aluminum will probably pop them off as well. My weights are under the Horizontal on each side.

Good point.. I put them there to get the lead as far back as possible and thus avoid a few grams.. Think that I will see how well the tape hold on and if poor, move them under the stabs and add a few grams...

Have to add: I am trilled to able to fly it from the back of my house, just as I planned. Have started my vacation and, "thanks" to the Coronna, been stuck at home I have now been flying all day; landing only to eat and refuel.. Just now called it a day and doing some minor modifications. Have to say, this is by far the most fun plane I ever flown: BIG!!! -Slow and fast (enough), manouverable and willing to just anything - and forgiving... and to top it all: STOL!!
--Been so fun to fly, I forsee a short life!! I am bound to kill it by doing someting foolish...

Got my maiden flight in over the weekend! So far so good. I maybe have about 40 min of flight time on it now. Haven’t really thrown any 3D at it yet as I’m still breaking in the engine, but I can tell you this plane flies so well. My only complaint so far is the stock landing gear which I knew would eventually be an issue. Working on updating my current setup to fix that issue, but for now the stock gear gets the job done. Overall I’m really happy with the way this bird turned out.

Awesome!! It flies like a Timber! All it's little siblings are no exception, they designed a great flying airframe

Well after flying the Timber now for a month or two, starting to appreciate the electric drive system and after changing some of the ESC settings and also learning how to fly an electric plane. From the first couple times out to the field the batteries were flat in four minutes, now up to 7 minutes and today landing with 52% of that battery capacity still left. That is still flying all the same manoeuvres and stunts and prop hanging that I normally do. Just differently. Power management is the secret and staying of the power when not needed.

@AKNick - I saw earlier you suggested an alternative spring solution for the tailwheel springs using fuelhose. Cant find the drawing you attached.. Do you have it handy and do you mind to re-share it?
