Prayers sent. That boat is kickass.
Much appreciated everyone. My wife is doing very well and looks to be cancer free! I've been taking care of her and getting the sleds ready for the winter. Took the Ultra Stick out on a Christmas beach adventure. Very windy and a great time. I might need DOT flagging and a pilot sled for that load. ;) Merry Christmas!

Greetings fellas, hope everyone is well and enjoying their planes and projects. I had a very busy couple of work years and am circling back to this project. A full size plane build has been taking most of the shop time, but it's time for some RC!

I decided on mounting the speed controllers under the main cockpit deck. The CNC plywood base will slide in out for access. For now I'll be going with the factory cowl and notched it around the motor support tubes. I need to get a black 3" spinner to mount in place. Machined out a couple copper bars to interconnect the batteries in parallel. Depending on the batteries I can run 2-4 for flight and have the option of plugging one in for setup. I'll be adding some insulation over the soldered bars and isolating them with non conductive mounts.

Here's a video of one of my favorite RC trips the past couple years!
