3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

I finally have a build worth posting here. I received a part built 2 meter Vertigo last weekend. Still a long way to go with it.

I am having a hard time posting pictures, sorry. 20201109_172234.jpg

Ya almost! (I wish!)

Yes the Vertigo from Badan kits is a totally different type of build that I am used to. As I said I bought this kit that had been partially built. When I pulled up beside the gent that sold it to me in a parking lot it seemed like he had a van load of foam! That is what this kit is. Instead of sheeted wings almost everything on this plane is sheeted foam. I have to say this design is brilliant!

Because there is so much sheeting to do I had to pick up some special glues to work on it. I heard that gorilla glue works but can leave the sheeting a little wavy so I picked up some West system epoxy which works well and keeps the weight down. I lot of what I am doing I am copying from one of the best builders in Canada, Trevor Brum.

A few picks of the crazy thin balsa sheeting...20201123_130516.jpg 20201123_130516.jpg

The leading edges of the rudder and elevator get sheeted so soaked the balsa in water, wrapped it around and let dry...

Turned out prefect after drying...

This plane has hidden hingeing all around but was told that the carbon rods wears at the ply, So best to insert the blue nyrod in all the hinge points. Working on that right now.
