Yeah, the price increase is no joke. Most expensive floats I have ever owned... But they perform great! I could have repaired the floats, but it would have taken so much time with the busted/rotted ply on the inside I decided it wasn't worth the effort and have other projects I'd rather work on. I'm running 6S 5000 packs in my 84" TBM, If I wanted to go electric with a 120" it would be two of the same packs in series... but I would go crazy with the short flight times. With the TBM on wheels I think the lighter 3700 packs are a bit better. There has been some talk about getting a 30-40cc TBM on r c g but the cost would be that of a 70cc monoplane. So I dont know if thats a wise choice. I really need to figure out if the 120" TBM can fit in my truck bed... Also curious if they will make it a plus version ever with the new wing locks.

A buddy of mine had the big one for a while and liked it. He actually had it while he was still living in AK but sold off alot of his stuff before coming back to VA a few months back. I flew his 84" a couple of times when he lived here the first time and it was pretty awesome. For me 2200mah 4S is really as big as i want to go. If they where to bring back the 65" TBM i would be willing to step up to a 3000mah pack for it but to me batts just start getting expensive quick when they get bigger than that 2200 mah 4S size.

Just need to know where to shop for batteries! I've been liking China Hobby Line (CHL). I enjoy my 6S quite a bit, but after having a few cells go bad here and there ($$) I've been way more diligent with putting them back to storage and checking the IR from time to time.

I’ve been getting mine from this place. So far I’ve been very happy. And once you’re on their email list they will notify you when they have sales. I’ve seen small foamie batteries for $2-$3 bucks!

Check them out. https://rcbattery.com/

Have been running them since February so far so good relative to the price great. Balance cord very short and it is pain.
Have batteries that are better but at more than double the price. How they will last time will tell.
They do show a reasonable prop in power as you reach the end of the power.

Yes I have a couple of the CHL batteries and like them. A few of my Probro buddies swear by them. They have also had good results with the Turnigy Graphene batts.

I tested positive this week so stuck at the house. Finally threw these on a piece of door, and I found more to add. This is going to help me sort 1000's of misc screws, etc.
