Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Here are some photos of the trim tab cable exit. Maybe you can cover the exit with the material you are using.

Here are photos of the rudder cable exit, the exit was formed from a Miller Lite can, glued to fabric then cover with fabric.

I kinda thought CA would not be appropriate. No need to fill the weave, just a coat of epoxy primer before paint. Not covering the exits with fabric, just a reinforcement patch around the cable slit. I don't currently have any canopy glue (hint - don't leave it out in your unheated garage all winter). I'm trying some of this stuff on a test piece.

Just used some fabric cement over the weekend to glue stimulated piping on the Champ seats. Here's a before and after.

Looks like it worked well. How long did it take to cure? My test piece has sat for about 5 hrs and I could peel it apart if I wanted to. I'm gonna give it overnight and see.

Nice job on the seats , but have a question what is that electrical type connector on the side of the seat. It does not look like a connector.

It is a Zepus dual 20 amp magnetic switch. The plane had two Zepus 15 amp magnetic switches, under the seat, it was difficult the see if the small indicating LED was lite in the bright sun light, the LED's are brighter on the dual switch and the access is better now. One swipe and both side are on. The connections are XT30.

It reminded me a lot like canopy glue, white and dried clear in a hour or so. The wire was held in place with tape and the glue was applied with a Monoeject between the tape, after a hour the tape was removed the those areas were glued.

Two? I've came up with the idea of the Zepus switch(like you recommended) for overall power but I couldn't figure out how to use 2. I decided on a Powerbox Spark Switch for my ignition battery but I think I like your idea more.

It is two separate switches paths operated by one magnetic, I my case each path will feeds one of the two separate inputs to the power expander. The switch can have two different voltages on each path if needed. For the ignition I'm using a IBEC powered from the power expander, no separate ignition battery. I've had two IBEC's fail and if I experience another I'm gong back to separate battery for the ignition. The most recent failure was the IBEC in the Champ that caused the engine to miss after a couple minutes of flying. I have a new one on the way and should be here tomorrow.
