Dubro tanks

Just Do It
I have been using Fiji water bottles with PSP cap and fittings with great success. I would like to have a 24oz tank for my DA-70 91" Extra and the only water bottle in 24oz that I have found is the Smart water bottle. The bottle however is round and tall. The tall concerns be more. Dubro has a 24oz tank that is nice and compact keeping the cg close to the wing tube. If I go this route I will use an aluminum cap like the SWB, PSP or Sullivan but I am still concerned with the stopper. I do annual tank maintenance so I don't mind replacing the stopper every year. Is anyone using a stopper that they feel is better than another and happy with. I have been a 3 line user but looks like these tanks might be better off 2 line. Thanks in advance.

So I did measure 24 oz in the Fiji bottle and for sure that is an option but it is tall moving cg forward. Maybe this is not so much of an issue. Lunchtime I stopped at a gas convienent store and bought an Aqua Hydrate 23.7 oz bottle of water. The threads fit the standard caps so my PSP will work and it is 1" shorter than the 32oz Fiji. I think I might just use this even though its round which is not that big of deal. For the record the Dubro is 1" shorter than this bottle.

I use the Dubro 24 oz. tanks on my 55's. Sullivan also makes a very good gas conversion kit. I have been using them without any problems. I've found the SWB fits the tanks just a tad better than the PSP.

I think I am going to start out with a 23.7 oz Smart Water bottle with a PSP cap that I already have. This has worked great on 3 planes so far with a Fiji bottle. . I agree with you that the SWB cap for the DuBro looks the best. I am a three line guy so the DuBro is a little harder than to do than the water bottle designs.
