They are looking to meet AMA sound rec's, those are possible ways to accomplish that, nobody said you have to have all those if you don't exceed DB levels.

It would kill the classic line, and much of the 3D: the cost of complying plus the technical challenges in retrofitting all out planes, in addition to the weight penalties......

We can only hope it is an over reaction.

It would be simpler to have a line boss who enforces the blatant offenders of prop ripping and almost constant full throttle flying.
One warning, then you get grounded. It would calm a lot or people down...and if they don't, they can just go home.

Well, four of our five gassers are already on cans, and pretty quiet. There are certainly a lot of guys that would need to make changes, including some "top pilots", who don't know how to pull back on the left stick.

Might be a good time to invest in KS/MTW stock.;)

In other words, bring your brain to the flight line with you every time and don't fly full throttle the whole darn time or you will likely be reprimanded. Lots of awesome flying can be had with much less than full throttle rollers constantly from one end to the other.
