Well, it's mostly ready to fly!

New fuel system complete, air system needs to be redone but it holds pressure with wheels up and loses 10psi in 10 minutes with wheels down. Pump up to 110psi and leave overnight it goes down to 60psi. Gear still does three complete cycles with 60psi left in the tank. I think I'm good for what's left of this year.

There was some shaky looking wiring in there that was removed and not one single wire keeper! All surfaces, servos and linkages are working, throttle is set. Retracts are working under servo power now, flaps are repaired and functional.

Just need to tidy up some wiring, get the ailerons set up and see if the engine runs. The G-62 has the electronic igntion and a huge aluminum box muffler, with header and side pipe. I've heard one of these before and it sounded awesome!

Probably maiden at the Ottumwa IA wounded warrior in two weeks, I hear there is going to be a lot of old Byron stuff there. Probably take that and the Chapman 580 CAP for a little IMAC flying.

Might as well buy a mini van now Terry since your giving up on life.

I know, I've been watching the swap pages for a transmitter with the long shiny thing sticking out from the front so I really fit in with my new friends at the field too.

I'm sure @thelaw will get the maiden on video for the rest of us.:yesss:

It looks like the air system is nice and compact. Some warbirds can be a plumbers nightmare.

Looking at pictures of yours, and you mentioning Byron, reminds me of a picture I saw of a yellow T-6 that I'm fairly sure was a Byron that someone had used a 2 liter soda bottle as an air tank. Pressurized, sitting in the hot sun, and BOOM! Blew the whole back end off the airplane.

You make me sound like such a nag, Terry. I am just trying to get you to broaden your horizons. The AT-6 looks great, don't change a thing externally.

I know I know, you pick on me in a nice way......the LAW on the other hand:confused??: Can't wait to see your P-47 fly next week, that will get me fired up to get mine done this Winter, I know it will be a sweet flying plane:way_to_go:. I got that little canister muffler for the 72cc 4-stroke so that should sound pretty sweet too!
