Unread Classifieds Count

While I begin looking for options to make the classifieds system work better I've activated a feature that will display how many new posts there are that you haven't read yet in the classifieds area. The notification shows up as a number in a red flag just above and to the right of the CLASSIFIEDS link in the Navbar.

Maybe you don't want to look at all of the unread posts but at least it's a little reminder to START SELLING ALL OF YOUR OLD STUFF! Seriously, the stuff there is getting sold pretty quickly so why are you still sitting on those old airframes, engines, radio gear, etc., etc., etc.......take a few pics and get your gear gone!

Just please remember to put LPU for Local Pick Up or WS for Will Ship in your thread titles along with your state or general location when you're selling an airframe.

Any chance you can make it so when you click on that flag it shows you a list of the new threads no matter what sub-forum? That would be really helpful.

Since you are working on the classifieds section, can you add the price to the listing title somewhere? It would be nice to see the price without having to open the ad up. Also, the How many new posts feature is cool, but it won't go away unless you open the new ad and view it. Can we get a Mark all ads as read function like we have on the forums please? I like to keep my page clean and I keep thinking I have missed something with the number up there.

I just found that setting and fixed it. There is now a "Mark All Forums Read" button on the left side by the Hobbico wide/thin banner after you click on the Classifieds link.

Maybe I missed something or it's a bug, but that marks the entire forum board as being read, not just the classifieds...

I can neither confirm or deny that right now

I hereby commit to checking classifieds more often.
