@Terryscustom

Your video's are very informative with lots of great tips to "borrow". . . . . ;). BTW, you are absolutely correct. They beat the heck out of all that typing.

@49dimes,

Those mufflers look BAD A__ I wonder if your friend can re-chrome plate a piston liner out of a Hanno Special?

Truthful........I doubt it. I'll ask but (guessing) the chrome is purely decorative from where I think he had that done (Naval aviation museum). You would need some one who could "spec" that hanno liner.

Here you go, I did two canopies in just under 25 minutes. It's only as hard as you make it. I know lots of people tend to make things a lot harder than they are, so hopefully this will help those of you that say things like "the loose canopy is a deal breaker". It's so simple.....

Done this way it also does not have any fasteners, it is removable in case it needs to be replaced. If you want to go further you can install a 1/2" wide strip of Ultracote on the front lip and have it hang over onto the leading edge of the canopy shell itself......it will stick, just use the lowest heat setting for ultracote.

Nicely done Terry. The loose canopy is the number one complaint I hear from people about PAU planes.

A couple of quick questions for you Terry.
What type of glue are you using for your hinges?
I noticed you didn't seal your firewall. Do you typically not coat the firewall area?
Is there a way to relocate the main tank to be at the CG instead of in front of it?
Did you (or are you going to) seal your hinges?

Thanks Terry!
