    Hello, If weight up front is not an issue, try adding a thicker firewall, pin it with dowels drilled from the side through the skin into the firewall. you can Also beef it up from the inside. then epoxy coat or(?) everything inside and outside.

    Both planes all solartex, not much painting done. Silver on Miniplane and cowl painted blue on the Waco.

    Will see about figuring out how to send some pictures. Thanks for the kind words. Oh just figured it out. First pic is of course the Waco. 2nd of Miniplane pilot. Have other Miniplane pics in my iPad archives. Need to see how to retrieve those.

    Hello, my name is Rick. Just fell into this site. It looks great. I fly a 1/2 scale Smith Miniplane and a 1/5 scale Waco. Been flying the Waco since 1986. Also have a couple of small electrics. Blessings to all and happy landings.
