    Alert! Aeroworks says goodbye

Kinda agree. I hate to see a company go down but their QC and customer service stunk. You would think with someone like me that bought 5 of their giant scale airplanes they would make sure i was happy with their QC issues and rectify the problems.

    DA 200

I'm curious on this information. A DA200 sucks way more fuel per hour than a 35. 5 gallon through a 35cc could take 50 hrs vs a 200 where 5 gallons could be around an hr of flight time.

    PAU/Dalton 300

Mounted the engine and installed the cans and linkages. The DLE222 required 1 1/4" spacing. It give a 1/4" space between the cowl and spinner plate. You almost need that much due to the size of the hub. I did a Z bend for throttle linkage. Not sure I I like it but it seems to be pretty solid...

    PAU/Dalton 300

I figure to give everyone an idea on weights of some of the components I would show you what I have. It can give an idea on what it weighs and where the saving could take place. FYI the headers are DA200 long drop headers from DA. I wanted to get some header pipe from DA but no body answers any...

    PAU/Dalton 300

One thing I miss from the previous PAU 300 I had was the wire run channel to back. But I had a few from when I bought some at TNTlandinggear. I made up 4 leads to the back servos using the powerbox wire. I had to run over to AJ aircraft.Com today. My 2 MKS 380S and 1220 throttle servo came in...

    PAU/Dalton 300

I forgot to add, the covering is the best I have seen on an ARF. Just fantastic. But, it does need to be thoroughly gone over with an iron. It is loose in some areas. So you must go over it.

    PAU/Dalton 300

Spent most of today working on the plane. I hope to fly it by this upcoming g weekend. A special note, a DA200 may not require the firewall to be cut. I need a 1 1/4" spacing for the DLE 222. The original firewall is 2". The DA200 I believe is an inch shorter than my 222. I used aluminum angle...

    PAU/Dalton 300

Got started right away with the hard stuff. Hinged the first wing with epoxy. Then I remembered while installing the epoxy why I hate it. Even 30 min epoxy does not give me enough time. I did not have any 1hr epoxy so I went back to Ole faithful, gorilla glue. Did the other wing and stabs in...

    PAU/Dalton 300

Recieved my new PAU/Dalton today. Only took 2 days to ship to my work. I was not thinking it would have been that fast but I sure am glad it was. So today I start the assembly. List of components I am using are as follows: DLE 222 Planebender 3D cans and mount Falcon 31x14x2 carbon prop 8 MKS...

How to drill a gas prop.

I did not watch the whole video but I recommend using a framing square to make sure the table is exactly 90° to the drill bit. Makes a big difference with installing the screws.

    Curious. Ethanol or not

I hate to add this but my lawn mower is 16 years old. Never used a drop of stabil over winter storage and it will sit outside for 5 months or more. Every year I just top off the tank and it fires up on the first or second pull. Primer start no choke plate. That mower has a plastic fuel tank. My...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

There is nothing but E10 in these parts. I always add Stabil for winterization. But the fuel did sit for a few months before I winterized them. I will see how my wifes jetski runs. I believe that last it was started in 2013. My wife does not use it much. I usually let other people run it when I...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

This weekend last minute a buddy of mine asked me to head out to the lake for some fun on the lake. So I pulled out my jetski that has been sitting since mid 2014. Has not been running at all, .I winterzed it at the end of 14 but that has been it. There was a 1/2 tank of fuel in it so I...

    105" AJ Laser Build Thread

I think I may have to open up the air inlet holes in the cowl. This plane does not seem to allow this engine to cool down at all. Today I hit over 400F during some water falls. It cooled down once I got moving again but cooling is an issue. I first started with the classic ducting to the front...

    105" AJ Laser Build Thread

I have about 10 flights on mine now. DA 120 and MKS 777 for elevator and rudder. Because of the thin wings I ended up buying some Savox 2270's. I put this together during Joe Nall week so it was hard to locate some MKS servos. But the savox will be fine. I did start as a pull pull rudder setup...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

We have the same thing. Winter and Summer blends. No E0 around here either other than buying from a fuel vendor that sells to farmers. But minimum purchase is 55 gallons and they have 2" nozzles so you need a big can (no pun intended lol). I do notice a few MPG drop in fuel economy but never...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

If it detects knock. Timing will be fixed unless the PCM received a signal from the knock sensor. Unless you are using crappy fuel, timing adjustments are not needed.

    Curious. Ethanol or not

Hmmm, My Ford Edge gets the 93 octane treatment whenever I fill up my gas can. I add 4 gallons of 93 to make sure I have good 93 to add to my fuel can. But in reality if your vehicle is recommended for 87 use 87. Anything higher is a waste of money and potential for loss of HP. I once had a dyno...
